One man is dead and another is in custody after a fatal shooting in Westminster on Thursday.
Westminster officers responded to reports of a shooting at a house in the 3200 block of West 81st Avenue around 4:30 p.m. Thursday, according to a news release from the police department.
When police arrived at the home, they immediately found an adult man suffering from a gunshot wound inside, the release stated. Paramedics transported the man to a nearby hospital where he died from his injuries.
The identity of the victim will be released by the Adams County Coroner’s Office at a later date.

Police said “all parties” remained on scene and cooperated with officers. Information on how many people were inside the home was not available.
One man — 21-year-old Fernando Arturo Gomez-Cordero — was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter, police said in the release.
