New royal report reveals Prince William’s huge annual salary

Prince William’s whopping annual salary was revealed Wednesday as part of a new royal report.

The 42-year-old heir to the British throne inherited the Duchy of Cornwall estate and Duke of Cornwall title upon King Charles III’s ascension, following the 2022 death of Queen Elizabeth II.

Through the estate, the Prince of Wales earned £23.6 million ($30.4 million) during the 2023-2024 financial year, his first full year with the new title, according to the estate’s Integrated Annual Report.

The distributable surplus is used to fund the public, charitable and private activities of William, wife Kate Middleton and their young family, according to the estate’s website.

Despite this, the estate’s website notes that William possesses no access to its capital value and pays income tax on the annual revenue

The private estate provides an income to The Duke of Cornwall, per the report, noting it is “managed in harmony with The Prince of Wales’s goals so that it can be passed with pride to future generations.”

The report was published less than two weeks after Kate, also 42, attended the men’s final at Wimbledon, amid ongoing cancer treatment.

The Princess of Wales has largely kept a low profile since Christmas, when she last appeared in public prior to undergoing “successful” abdominal surgery in mid-January and announcing her cancer diagnosis in late March.

Kate’s January hospitalization overlapped with that of her monarch father-in-law, 75, for an enlarged prostate. Charles in February announced his own cancer diagnosis.

Charles returned to public duties in late April when he visited a cancer treatment charity.
