Although the Knicks managed to get back into the game during the second half, it was mostly without their star player – since Mikal Bridges was bound to the bench for most of those minutes.
The ex-Brooklyn Nets player closed the game with an extremely poor stat line: no points on 0-for-3 shooting, four turnovers, and such a disastrous performance that New York was actually better looking when he was not on the court.
Bridges did step to the interview afterward, saying, “There’s no other way…it’s a tough one, I’ve got to take it on the chin and handle it how I’m supposed to. It’s going to suck, it is what it is. I’ve got to be better and help my team out there.” — but Knicks fans weren’t buying it.
