NASCAR Odds: Who Are The Favorites to Win at Watkins Glen?

The NASCAR Cup Series circuit heads to Watkins Glen International this Sunday, May 10, for the Go Bowling at The Glen. It is the second road-course race of the 2026 season and the 12th race of the year.

Ahead of Sunday’s 90-lap event around the New York road course, the oddsmakers have pinpointed a few key favorites to win.

Here, we will take a look at those favorites and also a few longshots to win at Watkins Glen.

Shane van Gisbergen among favorites to win The Glen

In the odds released by DraftKings Sportsbooks, as of Wednesday evening Eastern time, Shane van Gisbergen enters Watkins Glen as a heavy favorite to win. At +125, it is no surprise the New Zealand native tops the odds.

Last year, SVG dominated the Cup Series on the right and left turns by winning five of the six road-course races. At Watkins Glen a year ago, the Trackhouse Racing driver led a race-high 38 laps en route to victory.

In his only other Cup start at Watkins Glen, SVG finished runner-up after getting passed on the last lap by Chris Buescher.

Rookie Connor Zilisch comes in with the next-best odds at +285. The driver of the No. 88 has two victories at The Glen in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, including in his debut in the series.

Teammates with SVG at Trackhouse, it will be interesting to see if Zilisch can contend with the road course ace this weekend.

Tyler Reddick has the third-best odds to win Watkins Glen at +750. The driver of the No. 45 has a road course victory in 2026 after winning at Circuit of The Americas in March. However, the five-time winner in 2026 has yet to win at Watkins Glen.

In five starts, the 23XI Racing driver has four top-10 finishes with a best finish of seventh in 2022.

Christopher Bell enters Watkins Glen at +1000 to win. Aiming to rebound from a DNF at Texas, the driver of the No. 20 finished runner-up to SVG at The Glen last year. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver has three road course wins, with the latest coming at CoTA in 2025.

Ty Gibbs and other NASCAR longshots at Watkins Glen

Road courses can be unpredictable at times, which is why it is worth looking at some underdogs to win this Sunday.

Chris Buescher enters Watkins Glen at +1800 to win. The driver of the No. 17 won at The Glen in 2024 with a last-lap pass on SVG. Last year, the RFK Racing driver notched a third-place result. Buescher has finished top 10 in the last four Watkins Glen races.

A.J. Allmendinger is worth keeping an eye on this Sunday. At +2200 to win, the driver of the No. 16 scored his first career Cup victory at Watkins Glen back in 2014. All three of Allmendinger’s career Cup wins have come on road courses.

The latest triumph for Allmendinger came in October 2023 at the Charlotte Roval.

At +2500 odds, Ty Gibbs is another underdog to watch for. The driver of the No. 54 has two top fives and three top 10s in his last five road course starts. Gibbs’ best Watkins Glen outing was a fifth-place result in 2023.
