Motorcyclist dies after single-vehicle crash in south Denver

A motorcyclist died early Saturday morning after crashing near the ramp in south Denver connecting southbound Interstate 225 to southbound Interstate 25.

Golden officer killed in suspected DUI crash identified; Colorado School of Mines professor arrested

Denver police announced the crash on social media at 2:54 a.m., saying the motorcyclist was seriously injured and warning drivers in the area to expect delays.

Four and a half hours later, police reported that the motorcyclist had been pronounced dead at the scene.

I-25 and I-225 were both open at the junction as of 9:45 a.m., according to the Colorado Department of Transportation’s statewide road conditions map.
