A pedestrian was hit by a BNSF Metra train near Downers Grove Tuesday morning disrupting service.
It marked the second similar crash in 24 hours.
BNSF inbound and outbound train movement has resumed after a pedestrian was hit by BNSF train #1228 near the Main Street station, though some trains may be operating with extensive delays, Metra said in a service alert.
Metra did not immediately release any information about the victim.
