Teacher-author Chasten Buttigieg will head out in May with his newly published children’s picture book, and there’s one Northern California stop on the publication tour.
Kepler’s Books in Menlo Park will host Buttigieg, husband of former U.S. Transportation Secretary and presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg, on Tuesday, May 27.
” ‘Papa’s Coming Home’ was inspired after Chasten and his husband welcomed newborn twins and began searching for books with families that looked like theirs but came up short,” the Kepler’s booksellers say on their website.
Published by Penguin Random House, the picture book was written for ages 3 to 7, with illustrations by artist Dan Taylor.
Tickets are available now for the 7 p.m. event. General admission, which includes a copy of the book, is $34.59. Admission for two people, with one book, is $48.24.
