A man was wounded in a shooting in South Deering on Sunday night, Chicago police said.
A man, 21, was inside a vehicle in the 9600 block of South Exchange Avenue at 7:53 p.m. when a person with a handgun fired at him, police said. He was shot in the chest and face and taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition.
No one is in custody.
