A man was wounded in a shooting in North Lawndale on Monday night, Chicago police said.
The man, 26, was sitting inside a basement in the 1500 block of South Drake Avenue at 9:11 p.m. when a man fired shots and hit him in the left leg, police said. The victim was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in serious condition.
A person of interest is in custody, police said.
