OAKLAND — A man was shot multiple times Monday morning in the North Stonehurst area of East Oakland, authorities said.
The man was undergoing surgery at a hospital and his condition was not available.
The shooting happened about 5:57 a.m. Monday in the 10500 block of Royal Ann Street, a residential area.
Police have not yet said if the shooting happened outside or in a residence.

The man was found suffering from at least three gunshot wounds, authorities said.
A motive for the shooting is under investigation. No arrests have been announced and no suspect information has been released.
