A man was shot to death Friday night on the South Side.
The 23-year-old was on the sidewalk in the 5600 block of South Racine Avenue when someone opened fire about 7:30 p.m., Chicago police said. Racine divides Englewood and West Englewod.
The man was struck on his side and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said. His name hasn’t been released.
No arrests were made.
