Man shot behind Denver’s Coors Field, police say

A man was shot Wednesday night behind Coors Field in Denver’s Five Points neighborhood, police said.

Multiple residents in the area said on social media they heard between eight and 10 gunshots around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, followed by police sirens.

The shooting happened near the intersection of 22nd and Market streets, just one block behind the downtown baseball stadium, the Denver Police Department said in a 10:01 p.m. post on X.

Paramedics took one man to the hospital, who is expected to live, and investigators are working to develop suspect information, police said.
