A man was killed in a drive-by shooting Thursday afternoon in Austin on the West Side.
The man, 45, was sitting inside a vehicle in the 4700 block of West Monroe Street when a truck pulled up alongside him and two people who were in the truck opened fire around 4:24 p.m., Chicago police said.
He was struck in the head and body and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. His name hasn’t been released.
No arrests were made.
