Man robbed at Loop CTA Blue Line station overnight

A man was injured during a robbery at a CTA Blue Line station early Monday in the Loop.

Around 2:15 a.m., the 42-year-old man was waiting on the Blue Line platform in the 200 block of North LaSalle Street when someone approached and demanded money, Chicago police said.

The robber then struck the man in the face and took his wallet before fleeing on the train, police said.

The man was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital with a laceration to his nose, officials said. He was in good condition.

Area detectives were investigating.
