Man found fatally shot in burning Kenwood home

A man was found fatally shot when Chicago police and fire officials were responding to a fire in Kenwood Saturday morning, according to Chicago police.

The man, 47, was found around 6:26 a.m. in a residence in the 4900 block of South Cornell Avenue with a gunshot wound to his head, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

His death is under investigation.
