A man was stabbed to death Saturday afternoon inside a home in Hegewisch on the Far South Side.
The 59-year-old was inside the home about 4:15 p.m. in the 13300 block of South Avenue M when someone he knew approached him with a sharp object and stabbed him, Chicago police said.
The man suffered stab wounds to his neck and back, and he was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
A person was taken into custody and charges were pending, police said.
