A man was shot and killed Tuesday night in the Humboldt Park neighborhood.
The 42-year-old was standing on the street about 6:40 p.m. in the 400 block of North Springfield Avenue when someone fired shots, striking him in the head and thigh, Chicago police said.
He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
No one is in custody.
