A man was shot to death Monday evening in Englewood on the South Side.
The man, 28, was walking on the sidewalk in the 6700 block of South Ashland Avenue when he heard shots about 7:10 p.m., Chicago police said.
He attempted to run away from the gunfire but was struck several times in the lower body, police said. He was taken to St. Bernard Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
His name hasn’t been released.
No arrests were made.
