OAKLAND — A 33-year-old man was fatally shot in East Oakland Tuesday night, authorities said.
His name has not yet been released pending notification of his family.
The shooting happened about 9:06 p.m. in the 2700 block of 73rd Avenue.

Police responding to a gunshot detection system alert found the man outside suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital where he later died.
A motive for the shooting has not been released. No arrests have been made.
The killing is the 46th homicide investigated by Oakland police this year and the fourth since Sunday evening. Last year at this time police had investigated 52 homicides in the city.
