Man critically wounded in Loop shooting

A man was critically wounded in a shooting Tuesday morning in the Loop.

Around 9:40 a.m., a 45-year-old man told officers he was on CTA property in the 200 block of North LaSalle Street when someone he knew shot him three times in the body, Chicago police said.

The man was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where he was in critical condition, police said.

CTA officials say there were reports of a disturbance at the Clark and Lake station, but didn’t confirm whether the shooting happened at the station.

No one was in custody.
