Man critically hurt in Loop stabbing

A man was critically injured in a stabbing near a Loop Blue Line station Monday night, according to Chicago police.

A man, 30, was in a verbal altercation with two men in the 100 block of North Clark Street at 9:18 p.m. when one of the men used a sharp object to slash the man’s neck and leg, police said. He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition.

The attackers fled and were not in custody.

Area 3 detectives are investigating.
