Man charged with murder of woman found beaten to death inside Englewood building

A man has been charged with killing a woman found beaten to death earlier this month inside an abandoned building in Englewood.

Antwon Chambers, 32, faces charges of first-degree murder and murder with a strong probability of death or injury, Chicago police said Sunday.

On Dec. 9, Chambers allegedly attacked Terryn Winters, 34, inside an abandoned building in the 7000 block of South Normal Boulevard, police said.

Officers found Winters unresponsive with multiple blunt force injuries, according to a police report.

A large wrench was found next to her body, the report said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
