Man arrested on suspicion of murder after fatal Denver stabbing

A 39-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder after a fatal Sunday stabbing in Denver left one man dead, police said.

Patrick Browne was arrested Sunday on suspicion of first-degree murder and felony menacing, the Denver Police Department said in a statement on social media.

Police said the stabbing — which happened near South Lipan Street and West Evans Avenue around 11:30 a.m. — stemmed from an argument between Browne and the 20-year-old victim.

The two did not know each other, according to police.
