MOUNTAIN VIEW — An Emeryville man was arrested Sunday for stabbing his sister, according to the Mountain View Police Department.
At 3:39 p.m. Sunday, police officers went to the 2000 block of Claire Court for reports of a stabbing, police said. The caller, who was a friend of the victim, told authorities that the victim had been stabbed by her brother with a knife. When police arrived, the man was restrained inside.
Police provided medical assistance to the victim until the City of Mountain View Fire Department arrived and took over medical treatment, authorities said. The victim was taken to a local hospital.
Authorities arrested the man, 42, and transported him to the Mountain View Police Department for investigation. He was arrested and taken to Santa Clara County Main Jail on suspicion of one count of attempted murder. He remains held without bail.
