One person is in custody after a 57-year-old man was found fatally shot Sunday morning inside an Auburn Gresham home.
About 3:15 a.m., officers found the man inside a home in the 8500 block of South Parnell Avenue with a gunshot wound to the chest, Chicago police said.
He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead, police said.
The suspect, a 60-year-old woman, was still on scene when officers arrived, according to police.
She was taken into custody and a weapon was recovered, police said.
Area Two detectives are investigating.
