Los Angeles Dodgers Announce Starting Lineup For Diamondbacks Game

On Thursday evening, the Los Angeles Dodgers will play their first game of the new season when they host the Arizona Diamondbacks in California.

The Dodgers enter the year looking to become the first MLB team to three-peat since the New York Yankees (2000).

For Opening Day, the Dodgers have officially announced their starting lineup.

Katie Woo of The Athletic wrote: “The Dodgers will open the season like this: 1. Ohtani DH 2. Tucker 9 3. Betts 6 4. Freeman 3 5. Smith 2 6. Muncy 5 7. T. Hernández 7 8. Pages 8 9. Rojas 4

Dodgers Look To Continue MLB Dominance

The Dodgers are coming off another remarkable year where they won the NL West with a 93-69 record.

They then beat the Toronto Blue Jays in Game 7 of the World Series to win their second straight title.

Alden González of ESPN wrote: “Dodgers players had two gifts waiting for them at their lockers when they arrived at the ballpark today:

* a bottle of Traveller whiskey from Dave Roberts

* a $4,000 Seiko watch from Shohei Ohtani, complete with a note: “Let’s three-peat.””

Following their series with the Diamondbacks, the Dodgers will remain in Los Angeles to host the Cleveland Guardians on March 30.

They will then head on the road to visit the Washington Nationals starting on April 3.

Diamondbacks Ahead Of Dodgers Opening Day

The Diamondbacks made a run to the World Series in 2023.

However, they are coming off a year where they missed the playoffs with an 80-82 record (fourth-place in the NL West).

Following the Dodgers, the Diamondbacks will return home to host the Detroit Tigers with the series starting on March 30 in Arizona.
