While Lauren Sanchez always seems eager to get attention for her figure-hugging, cleavage-forward outfits, the fiancée of Jeff Bezos may not have expected that she’d incite what the right-leaning Daily Mail has called a “conservative catfight” over Megyn Kelly calling her a “hooker” for donning what appeared to be a bustier top — and nothing else — beneath her white jacket to Donald Trump’s inauguration.
The “catfight” erupted after media personality Ann Coulter blasted Kelly, her sister in right-wing punditry, for her scathing comments about Sanchez’s attire at Monday’s swearing-in ceremony at the U.S. Capitol, the Daily Beast and other outlets reported.
“Stop being such bluenoses. Lauren Sanchez looked fine,” Coulter said Tuesday night on X, responding to the former Fox News host saying that Sanchez dressed “like a hooker” on Trump’s big day.
Sanchez arrived at the event wearing what appeared to either be a lacy, white underwire bra or a bustier top paired with a pantsuit. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, seated next to Sanchez was caught on camera in a viral clip, enjoying a glance at Sanchez’s chest.
“(Sánchez) dresses like a prostitute,” Kelly ranted on her podcast, The Megyn Kelly Show, on Tuesday.
“She looked like a hooker,” Kelly continued, launching into a diatribe about what exactly she thought Sanchez put on display. “I can’t with this woman. The girls were out… I can see the middle of her boobs. I can see her underboob… this is absurd. She couldn’t even keep them covered up for a day.”
“This is not my first time saying she dresses like a hooker because she does,” Kelly also said. “She has no class. No dignity. No respect,” Kelly wrote in another X post.
But Coulter wasn’t done with Kelly. She shared another clip on X that showed Kelly ranting about Sanchez’s outfit. Coulter topped it with a photo of Kelly dressed provocatively in a black lingerie bodysuit that ashowed her putting her assets “on display.” Coulter asked, “This you?”
But people responded to Coulter’s post by defending Kelly and told her she should “sit this one out.” They pointed out that Kelly was posing for a decades-old photo shoot and would not have worn anything so revealing to Trump’s inauguration. “If Megyn Kelly dressed like that for a presidential inauguration, she’d deserve all the criticism as well,” one person said.
Elsewhere in MAGA world, it became apparent that Coulter appears to be on the wrong side of the argument over Sanchez’s outfit. Following Sanchez’s appearance at the inauguration, seated with her fiancé and other mega-rich tech CEOs, a number of pro-Trump commentators expressed outrage that she “forgot to put a shirt on.”
“Good grief, Lauren Sanchez. Put them away for one day,” one X user wrote, echoing Kelly’s comments, according to the Daily Mail. Another person unfavorably compared Sanchez to First Lady Melania Trump, who donned a classically elegant — and button-up — dark navy coat and wide-brimmed hat. “Just when I was luxuriating in the beauty and class of @FLOTUS45, in walks Lauren Sanchez wearing only a bra,” the person said.
Still another person expressed outrage that Sanchez was even invited to the ceremony. “(What) is Bezos’ girlfriend Lauren Sanchez doing there when TRUE PATRIOTS couldn’t get a seat?” she said.
For her part, Sanchez has “subtly” hit back at the criticism of her outfit by “liking” supportive comments on her Instagram account, Page Six reported.
One of the supportive statements beside a photo of her at the inauguration read, “Girl you ate that inaugural look don’t pay attention to no haters.” Another said that the “only opinion” that should matter are hers and Bezos’s. And Sanchez, a helicopter entrepreneur and former Los Angeles-based TV journalist, “liked” another comment that said, “You are truly an inspiration to me and I’m sure to many women.”
