Larimer County wildfire triggers evacuations in Crystal Lakes area

Authorities in Larimer County on Monday issued mandatory evacuation orders due to a wildfire in the Crystal Lakes area.

The evacuation order covers Crystal Lakes, south of Black Mountain and north of Lake Erie, the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office announced on social media.

A second, voluntary evacuation order was issued for residents north of Black Mountain to the Wyoming state line, with people instructed to “GATHER ESSENTIAL ITEMS AND PREPARE FOR EVACUATION.”
