Kim Kardashian visited Erik and Lyle Menendez in California prison, days after her pal Ryan Murphy’s TV series about the brothers debuted on Netflix.
Kardashian, 43, spoke to prisoners at a state prison near San Diego on Saturday, TMZ reported. She was joined by series star Cooper Koch, who portrays Erik in the show “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story.”
The Menendez brothers publicly lambasted the series on Friday, one day after it was released on Netflix. Erik Menendez accused Murphy of blatantly ignoring the facts of the case to portray the brothers as evil.

“Murphy shapes his horrible narrative through vile and appalling character portrayals of Lyle and of me and disheartening slander,” Erik said through the brothers’ Facebook page.
Kardashian has worked with Murphy in the past, including on “American Horror Story,” but their relationship apparently didn’t stop her from visiting the Menendez brothers in prison.
Kardashian has a history of advocating for criminal justice reform, even visiting the White House multiple times to discuss the topic. She most recently spoke with Vice President Kamala Harris in April.
The Menendez brothers have been jailed since they were arrested in March 1990. They were convicted of first-degree murder in 1996 for killing their parents, Jose and Kitty Menendez, and sentenced to life without parole.
Erik and Lyle have long maintained they suffered repeated abuse at the hands of their father, who they claim was enabled by their mother. However, prosecutors argued at trial that the two actually just wanted to inherit their parents’ fortune.
The brothers fatally shot Jose and Kitty on Aug. 20, 1989, then told police they were gone when their parents were killed. In the months before they went to prison, Erik and Lyle went on a spending spree, including courtside tickets to a New York Knicks game.
