Kidnapping victim rescued in Crestwood, suspect arrested

A kidnapping victim was rescued and a suspect arrested early Friday in suburban Crestwood.

Just before 1:50 a.m., state troopers, with help from Chicago police, found a wanted stolen vehicle connected with a kidnapping with the victim still inside, Illinois state police said.

The suspect, who was wanted in Iowa and had a nationwide warrant for violating probation, was arrested without incident at 127th Street and Menard Avenue, state police said.

No charges have been announced.
