Justin Gaethje’s Manager Reveals Fighting Plans

UFC lightweight champion Justin Gaethje’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz of Dominance MMA, revealed his client’s fighting plans.

Gaethje defeated Ilia Topuria via fourth-round TKO in the main event of UFC Freedom 250 in June to unify the UFC lightweight titles and become the undisputed UFC lightweight champion for the first time in his Hall of Fame career.

At age 38 and coming off the biggest win of his MMA career, there have been suggestions that Gaethje could walk away from the sport at the highest peak of his career.

But according to his manager, that won’t be the case, as he expects Gaethje to fight again.

Ali Abdelaziz Says Justin Gaethje Will Fight Again

Speaking to MMAjunkie.com in a recent interview, Abdelaziz confirmed that Gaethje will not retire despite some suggestions that he could walk away from the sport at the height of his powers.

“(In) 2027 we will see Justin Gaethje fighting. He fought two times this year. He deserves the time off. He’s still the lightweight champion, undisputed, and I think all these guys have to chase him. But he wants to be in a big fight – a big, big fight. What is the big fight? Who decides that? It’s Dana White who decides what’s the biggest fight they can make,” Abdelaziz said.

While Abdelaziz said he expects Gaethje to fight again, ultimately, it will be his client’s final call.

“If he retired today, I will be so happy because he did everything. And if he wants to choose to fight one more time, he can fight one more time because nobody tells him what to do. He’s the boss. At the end of the day, it just has to be a massive fight,” Abdelaziz said.

Who Will Justin Gaethje Fight Next?

The UFC officially announced a massive fight as Arman Tsarukyan will take on Mauricio Ruffy in the co-main event of UFC 331.

According to Ruffy, he will fight for the belt next with an impressive win, while Tsarukyan will surely get a title shot if he wins. Thus, fans can expect the winner of that matchup to take on Gaethje next.
