Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills and his wife, actress Hailee Steinfeld, announced on Thursday, April 2, that they are officially parents to a baby girl.
Allen and Steinfeld shared the short announcement through Steinfeld’s Beau Society newsletter, and now, people are saying one thing about Allen’s new role. The player actually has a new, two-word nickname, and it’s all because of becoming a new dad.
“Our baby girl has arrived!!” the two stated in the newsletter. “We’re feeling incredibly grateful and blessed and savoring these early moments. Thank you so much for the love and well wishes.”

Followers quickly took to social media to congratulate this couple, and in the process, Allen got a new nickname. They’re all saying the same thing, and that’s about Allen being a “girl dad.”
“Girl Dad Josh Allen. New super powers unlocked, put the league on notice,” one follower said. “Josh Allen is a girl dad,” another said.
So, Allen’s new nickname is “girl dad,” and there’s nothing wrong with that. No word on the name of the baby yet, but hopefully this couple will announce that news soon.

Allen and Steinfeld first announced that they were expecting a baby on December 12, 2025, through Hailee’s “Beau Society” newsletter. In the piece, Hailee shared a handful of highlights from her year and surprised readers at the end with footage of her showing off a baby bump and Allen kissing it.
In the Wednesday, April 1, edition of her “Beau Society” newsletter, Steinfeld answered readers’ questions and didn’t say anything about the baby coming sooner. In the newsletter, she said, “I’m extra excited about today’s letter on the whys and hows behind a huge piece of my heart, and the thing that’s brought us all together: Beau Society.”
She added, “In last week’s AMA, many of you had questions about my creative process and vision for this brand and growing community. Over the last year and a half or so, I’ve shared, in pieces, how this all came together, but I’m thrilled for the opportunity to dive in a little deeper today.”
