Shortly after stepping onto the red carpet at the 82nd Golden Globes Awards, fans noticed a particular piece of bling adorning Zendaya’s left hand.
Naturally, social media did its thing, and photos and commentary à la “Is she or isn’t she?” have flooded social platforms. “WAIT A MINUTE” one user posted of a series of photos of the “Euphoria” star in her burnt orange Louis Vuitton ball gown alongside a close-up shot of her left hand flashing a diamond ring.
Eagle-eyed fans were quick to analyze any moment featuring Zendaya at the Beverly Hilton Hotel where the award show was held. They questioned if she was showing off her ring to Amy Pascal, and if the wide-eyed look Ayo Edebiri gave the “Challengers” actor was one someone might give after seeing a friend’s engagement ring for the first time. But others weren’t so quick to assume. One user took to X, formerly Twitter, to say “Until ZENDAYA say she’s engaged, I’m minding my business!!!”
Zendaya and “Spider-Man” co-star Tom Holland first went Instagram official in 2021, shortly before the release of “Spider-Man: No Way Home.” Following the media promotion of the film, the two have kept their relationship mostly private, with birthday posts on social media here and there. The two have scaled back on red carpet appearances together, and Zendaya attended the Golden Globes on Sunday sans her spidey beau.
For a Jan. 2025 Men’s Health cover story, Holland explained that he shies away from attending public events that aren’t mandatory but makes an exception for Zendaya’s film premieres. Still, he doesn’t typically walk the rep carpet with her. “Because it’s not my moment, it’s her moment, and if we go together, it’s about us,” he told the magazine.
Neither party has confirmed the engagement, but that hasn’t stopped fans from speculating and squealing with glee online.
