Insider Shares Big News on Seahawks’ Klint Kubiak Amid Raiders Link

The Seattle Seahawks‘ offense could look different next season with offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak emerging as a leading candidate for the Las Vegas Raiders head coaching job.

On Jan. 25, ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler reported the latest regarding Kubiak and his connection to the Raiders job.

“Raiders’ coaching search should come into focus after Sunday,” Fowler wrote on X. “Multiple league sources consider Seahawks OC Klint Kubiak a prime candidate after a strong first interview.

“[Denver] Broncos pass-game coordinator Davis Webb is often mentioned in league circles as a viable option, too. Several assistants still playing — [Los Angeles] Rams‘ Mike LaFleur, Chris Shula, Nate Scheelhaase; Broncos’ Vance Joseph — interviewed virtually with the club.”

Under Kubiak, the Seahawks put together a highly productive offense during the 2025 season, totaling 5,973 yards of offense and scoring 483 points over the regular season, averaging 28.4 points per game, per StatMuse.

Moreover, the passing attack was a major factor, generating 4,063 total passing yards, and the ground game contributed 2,096 total rushing yards while totaling 51 touchdowns, per Seahawks.com. The unit also converted 82 of 206 third-down opportunities and finished with a -3 turnover differential.

Those numbers helped Seattle win the NFC West division and secure the No. 1 seed in the conference.

Klint Kubiak Might Not Be the Only Name to Leave Seahawks

Kubiak might not be the only person who could depart Seattle this offseason. Rashid Shaheed is one player who has made a difference for the Seahawks since arrival midseason in a trade with the New Orleans Saints.

Seattle sent a 2026 fourth- and fifth-round pick to New Orleans in Nov. 2024, and so far this move is paying off with the Seahawks one win away from the Super Bowl. Nonetheless, Shaheed is a looming free agent as he can test the market in mid-March.

In an article published on Jan. 22, NFL analyst Marc Ross noted 11 looming free agents who are deserving of a payday, one of them being Shaheed.

“I loved the midseason trade that sent Shaheed to Seattle, and it’s obvious why,” Ross wrote. “Shaheed was effective in his first three-plus years in New Orleans, but the move put a bigger spotlight on how much of an impact he can make as an electric player with the ball in his hands.

“For those of you who didn’t see last Saturday’s Divisional Round blowout of San Francisco, Shaheed is Percy Harvin-esque with the goods to alter a game as a returner, as evidenced by his 95-yard touchdown on the opening kickoff. Shaheed is lightning in a bottle with the talent to elevate a lot of offenses.”

Rashid Shaheed Would Like to Stay in Seattle

Shaheed has had 15 catches for 188 yards and has scored two touchdowns in nine games for the Seahawks this season, per StatMuse. Moreover, the Seattle standout has recorded 880 all-purpose yards since joining the team midseason, per Pro Football Reference.

With his future uncertain after this season, Kay Adams asked Shaheed on Dec. 23, 2024, about the possibility of staying in Seattle.

“I for sure do,” Shaheed told Adams on “Up & Adams.” “I feel like they brought me here for a reason, and that’s to be here for a minute. That’s the goal.”
