The Illinois Taxidermist Association convention leads another week with eclectic options for Go & Show.
- The Illinois Taxidermist Association convention opened yesterday and runs through Sunday, March 16, at the Northfield Inn & Suite in Springfield. I have no skills in this area, but I am fascinated by the taxidermy work of the masters brought to the convention. The top work borders on an art form. I cannot make it this year, but this is usually one of my favorite events.
- The Fox River Valley chapter of Muskies Inc.’s annual banquet is Saturday, March 15, at the Schaumburg Golf Club.
- The Chain O’Lakes Fishing Tackle Flea Market is 7:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 15, at the Fox Lake American Legion Hall. For more information email wpenzel@comcast.net or call (608) 369-3694.
- The Ultimate Sports Show also opened yesterday and runs through Sunday, March 16, at the DeVos Place in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
