SAN JOSE — Instead of its regular channel, the San Jose Sharks’ game against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday at 7:35 p.m. at SAP Center will be shown on NBC Sports California Plus.
Local television broadcasts of Sharks games are usually shown on NBC Sports California, but that channel will be airing the Athletics’ season-opening game against the Seattle Mariners. The A’s game begins at 7:10 p.m.
The Sharks’ game Thursday will air entirely on NBC Sports California Plus, but if the Athletics game ends before the conclusion of the Sharks game, NBC Sports California will join the Sharks broadcast in progress.
Other Sharks games scheduled to air on NBC Sports California Plus are the April 1 game in Anaheim against the Ducks, and the April 11 game in Edmonton against the Oilers.
Also, television coverage of the Sharks’ games against the Calgary Flames on April 7 and April 13, and the April 16 game vs. Edmonton, may begin on NBC Sports California Plus, pending the duration of the Athletics or Sacramento Kings games on those dates. The games will be joined in progress on NBC Sports California as soon as the baseball or basketball game(s) conclude.
