How to watch the SF Giants’ Opening Day game at the Reds

The San Francisco Giants begin the 2025 season on the road against the Cincinnati Reds at 1:10 p.m. PT on Thursday at Great American Ballpark.

The Giants are coming off an 80-82 season in 2024, their first under manager Bob Melvin. That mediocre showing was enough for the organization to fire president of baseball operations Farhan Zaidi and bring in franchise legend Buster Posey to replace him.

Posey made a splashy signing in shortstop Willy Adames on a seven-year, $182 million deal, the largest free-agent contract in franchise history. He also added former Cy Young award winner Justin Verlander to the rotation after Blake Snell defected to the rival Dodgers upon opting out of his contract.

Ace Logan Webb will start for the Giants on Thursday, while fellow 2024 All-Star Heliot Ramos is expected to be the latest in a string of 17 consecutive new Opening Day left fielders for San Francisco.

The Reds will be playing their first game under new manager Terry Francona, who led the Red Sox to World Series titles in 2004 and 2007.
