Long before Harris English became a Ryder Cup player and PGA Tour winner, his life story began one of its most intriguing chapters when he met Helen Marie Bowers at the University of Georgia while both were students. Attending the school during overlapping years, English was a star on the golf team while Bowers pursued her own path both academically and in terms of extracurriculars. While co-existing on the campus, they got to know one another through mutual friends and found connection in their shared cultural roots and upbringings – and the rest is history!
