It should warm up enough by Saturday, Feb. 22, for a good Chicago Park District Polar Adventure Day at Big Marsh Park. The free event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and includes husky sled teams, ice carving, guided hikes, food and animals among other things. - The Wisconsin Fishing Expo, considered by some Chicago-area anglers the best fishing show, runs through Sunday, Feb. 23, at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison.
- The second part of the Indianapolis Boat, Sport and Travel Show runs through Sunday, Feb. 23, at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. I had hoped to make it this year, but family requirements intervened.
