Giants Linked to Ravens’ Free Agent Pro Bowler With John Harbaugh Ties

Now that the pen has been put to paper, it’s time for John Harbaugh and the New York Giants to start the work on turning around one of the proudest franchises in NFL history.

After a 4-13 finish in 2025, New York’s brass has their workout cut out for them, and while Harbaugh is still looking to finalize his staff, the first real step in a new direction will start in free agency.

The former Baltimore Ravens coach will likely look to bring some of Harbaugh’s previous players into the fold to help establish his culture.

Among the available pool of free agents is a Pro Bowl offensive lineman who would immediately improve the Giants‘ offense.

Giants Linked to Ravens Center Tyler Linderbaum

SNY’s NFL insider Connor Hughes wants New York Giants fans to keep tabs on impending free agent Tyler Linderbaum, a three-time Pro Bowl center who may be on his way out of Baltimore.

“From what I’ve been told, expect the #Giants to be aggressive in targeting ex-#Ravens in free agency,” reported Hughes.

“Harbaugh wants people who know his way to carry out his message in locker room. Tyler Linderbaum would be one I’d keep an eye on.”

Linderbaum, whom the Baltimore Ravens selected with the 25th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, could anchor New York’s offensive line for years to come.

He’s only 25 years old.

Baltimore could have exercised the former Iowa product’s fifth-year option last offseason, but decided against the $23.4 million option.

“The decision to not pick up Linderbaum’s option is based on the unusually high financial commitment and not performance,” wrote ESPN’s Jamison Henley.

“Linderbaum’s fifth-year option would have been $23.4 million in 2026, which would have been $5.4 million more than the NFL’s highest-paid center in terms of average per year.”

Now, that decision could come back to bite the Ravens, considering no long-term extension has been reached.

Baltimore has until early March to negotiate with Linderbaum, but considering they were able to come to terms with All-Pro safety Kyle Hamilton (who was selected 11 spots before Linderbaum), the Pro Bowl center may be able to test unrestricted free agency.

Giants Offensive Line Makeover

Arguably, the biggest priority for the New York Giants this offseason will be finding long-term solutions on the offensive line.

General manager Joe Schoen has been relying on stopgap solutions for far too long during his tenure, such as handing out free agent contracts to veterans Jon Runyan and Jermaine Eluemunor.

The Giants’ current center, John Michael Schmitz, who they selected in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft, has been inconsistent at best throughout his career, and Linderbaum would be an immediate upgrade.

According to Spotrac, Linderbaum is projected to receive a four-year, $71 million contract this upcoming offseason, charting him around $17.7 million per year.

It would be a hefty price to pay for a center, but considering the current state of New York’s offensive line and Harbaugh’s intent to bring former Baltimore Ravens players aboard, it would be a worthwhile addition and assist hopeful franchise quarterback Jaxson Dart in his development.
