Fuel spill shuts down parts of I-25 near Arapahoe Road exit

Emergency response crews are responding to a 10- to 15-gallon diesel fuel spill by a semi-truck on northbound Interstate 25 on Thursday at the Arapahoe Road exit’s westbound on-ramp, according to South Metro Fire Rescue. The semi-truck appeared to be part of the Safeway groceries fleet.

The spill is now contained and has not contaminated any waterways. A private environemtal agency is responding for reamining clean up.

The far right lane of northbound I-25 will be shut down in the area as crews clean up the now contained spill.
