A passenger’s cellphone battery caught fire on a Southwest Airlines plane sitting at a gate at Denver International Airport on Friday, prompting an evacuation of all 108 passengers.

The person whose phone caught fire was treated for burns, and one other passenger sustained minor injuries during the evacuation, the airline said in a statement.
DIA spokeswoman Courtney Law also confirmed that the airport’s emergency crews helped respond to the fire.
Southwest Airlines Flight 3316 was bound for Houston and was scheduled to arrive three hours late as of 10:15 a.m., according to flight tracking service FlightAware.
Crew members successfully extinguished a seat fire caused by the burning cellphone, and passengers in the rear of the plane used emergency slides to exit the aircraft, while passengers in the front left through the front door, the airline said.
