Female pedestrian killed in Lone Tree traffic crash in Wednesday morning

A female pedestrian was killed in a traffic crash at the intersection of Lone Tree Parkway and Lincoln Avenue on Wednesday morning.

The 32-year-old driver of the vehicle was driving eastbound on Lincoln Avenue when they hit the 77-year-old pedestrian, who was crossing a marked sidewalk on the west side of the intersection, according to a Lone Tree Police Department press release. Officials confirmed the driver stayed on scene.

Life-saving measures were attempted on the pedestrian at the scene before she was transported to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead, according to the release.

Lincoln Avenue was closed because of the accident but has reopened.
