Fatal shooting of 16-year-old boy marks Vallejo’s twelfth homicide of the year

The Vallejo Police Department has confirmed the city’s 12th homicide of the year after a 16-year-old male juvenile succumbed to gunshot-related injuries Wednesday night.

The shooting incident occurred in the 100 block of Carolina Street at approximately 11:33 p.m. June 17, according to Vallejo Police Department Public Information Officer Sgt. Rashad Hollis.

According to Hollis, the motive and circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation at this time.
