A firefighter possibly fell through the roof of a Rogers Park apartment building Monday afternoon.
The fire started about noon at a multi-story building at 1757 W. North Shore Ave., according to fire spokesperson Larry Merritt.
Over police radio, an OEMC dispatcher told an officer that the situation was a “mayday fire,” and a firefighter fell through the roof.
Several people including a dog had been displaced, according to the dispatcher.
