Westbound I-76 near Commerce City to close for weekend bridge repairs

The interstate closed between Interstate 70/Wadsworth Boulevard and Colorado 95/Sheridan Boulevard around 4:45 a.m., according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

Drivers should use alternate routes and expect delays in the area.

As of 6:48 a.m., Google Maps reported a 9-minute delay eastbound and a 5-minute delay westbound.

No estimated reopening time for the interstate or information on how many people were involved in the crash was available as of 6:55 a.m. Tuesday.
