East Bay pets of the week for Oct. 4

Hi, I’m Malie! I was born a free-roaming dog in Hawaii and didn’t interact with people as much as a puppy. This makes meeting new people a little scary for me. I’ve made significant progress with my foster family, but I’ll need a quiet home with no kids and a confident dog friend to help me feel safe. I’m calm, loyal and ready to be a loving companion to someone special! Visit the website of the Berkeley-East Bay Humane Society at berkeleyhumane.org to learn more and schedule a meeting with me.

Hudson is sweet and friendly — and a champion wiggle butt. He has a lot of loves for other dogs, people and he LOVES to splash and wade in water. He also loves to chase cats, so he needs a home without cats or other small pets. If you’re looking for a really good dog, look no further than Hudson! You can meet Hudson and even take him for a walk along the waterfront Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 4 pm at Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter, 1590 Fortmann Way, Alameda. To meet this pet at FAAS, call 510-337-8565 or visit alamedaanimalshelter.org/adopt.

Violet is a sweet-natured, independent little lady with stunning silver fur and golden eyes. She’s good at entertaining herself and when she’s done, it’s cuddle-and-snuggle time. Violet is good with kids and dogs but wants to be the only queen bee in the house. Contact the staff at Milo Point Richmond for assistance from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. except Tuesdays at 220 S. This is Winnie. She’s a beautiful, black 1-year-old with great, green eyes. She loves following her foster family around, meowing and purring. We found her in the middle of a business park, talking even then. She jumped into my arms, again, meowing and purring. There’s nothing wrong with this happy girl other than she doesn’t have a forever home. For more information about Winnie or any other adoptable pets with the Contra Costa SPCA, call Pat at 925-323-0667.
