Hi, I’m Mittens! I’m a sweet, snuggly puppy with a heart full of love and a constantly wagging tail. Full of playful energy, I adore chasing toys, exploring the world and cuddling up for naps. I’m learning my puppy manners and can’t wait to grow with your guidance — especially if treats are involved! All I need now is a home where I can thrive and love unconditionally. Could that home be with you? Visit the website of the Berkeley-East Bay Humane Society at berkeleyhumane.org to learn more and schedule a meeting with me.

Poke (pronounced Pokey) is a magnificent, regal-looking Anatolian shepherd mix with only three legs. The gentle, giant tripod recently arrived at Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter, and seems quite sad and scared, despite the care FAAS gives its residents. We thinks Poke has great promise to be an incredible best friend to someone. (Anatolian shepherds are known for their loyalty.) You can meet Poke from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday at 1590 Fortmann Way in Alameda. Also feel free to call 510-337-8565 or visit alamedaanimalshelter.org/adopt.
