Season 1o “Dancing With the Stars” alum Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson and his fiancee, Sharelle Rosado have split. Rosado, who starred on Netflix’s “Selling Tampa,” shared the news on X (formerly Twitter) on October 26, 2024.
“Chad and I are no longer together please stop tagging us. He is a free man ladies,” Rosado wrote on X.
It appears as though both Johnson and Rosado have rid one another from their respective social media accounts. On Instagram, for example, the most recent photo of Rosado on Johnson’s feed is from February 2024. Meanwhile, Rosado did a good job at ridding Johnson from her feed altogether.
Johnson, 46, and Rosado, 37, had been together for at least four years. They welcomed their first child, a daughter named Serenity, together in January 2022. The pregnancy was a complete surprise.
“It was shocking. I think I was crying and laughing at the same time,” Rosado told People magazine after finding out that she was pregnant. “I just can’t wait. It’s actually going by so fast. I found out I was pregnant while we were filming, so time is flying. It doesn’t even seem like it’s been that long,” she added.
A few months later, Serenity Hurricane Paula Johnson was born. The following year, Johnson made things official when he got down on one knee.

Shortly after Rosado confirmed the split, Johnson reshared her post on his X. He included a GIF from “Arrested Development” in which character George Michael is walking with his head down giving a sort of “oh shucks” feeling.
It didn’t take long for fans to start leaving comments on social media. Overall, most people were surprised to hear that Johnson and Rosado had ended their relationship.
“This is the most polite breakup announcement I’ve ever seen,” one person wrote.
“Damn, he fumbled it,” someone else added.
“This is actually kind of disappointing. i liked you two together and usually I don’t care,” a third comment read.
“Oh no! Im so sorry to hear this. I loved you guys together! Praying for your strength! I know breakups can be terrible,” another X user said.
Sharelle Rosado & Chad Ochocino Johnson Shared Their Engagement With Fans
When Rosado and Johnson got engaged, they shared the news with fans on social media. While in Miami, Florida, Johnson got down on one knee and proposed to Rosado with a 7.5 carat diamond.
“I’m honestly shocked! I’m at a loss for words. This was absolutely beautiful and to see my family and friends here to celebrate our love, that really did it for me,” Rosado told People magazine after the proposal.
The duo decided to share a video of the proposal with fans — though it has since been deleted.
“The official Proposal,” Rosado had captioned a video in January 2023.
“You said if we get married you’d give me a Cheeseburger to go with my French Fry & hunny you gone have to stand on that,” Ochocinco wrote in the comments section.
