A driver who Denver police say hit and killed a pedestrian Wednesday night has been arrested.

The pedestrian, a woman who has not been publicly identified, was struck around Speer Boulevard and Colfax Avenue, according to Denver police.
The time of the incident was not immediately clear and Denver police did not return a request for more information about the circumstances of the crash.
The driver is being held for investigation of vehicular homicide and fleeing the scene of a crash, police said. They did not identify the driver or provide his age.
